In 1934 Johnnie Walker was awarded a Royal Warrant by King George V, the ultimate accolade of becoming an official product of the royal household. As the whisky market became more unstable during the 1920s and 1930s, Johnnie Walker amalgamated with Distillers Company Limited (DCL).
