Although we are confident that our Wild Country products will outperform any similar groundsheet fabric available, we recommend the use of a footprint to provide increased protection against sharp objects. The fly is made from Stormtex P4000, a fabric developed to provide the best all round performance. It's constructed from Polyester with a durable water repellant coating and taped seams to offer 100% waterproofing in all conditions. Updated for SS21 with a new colour and adjusters at the bottom of the end poles for easier pitching. Small items are usually sent by Royal Mail 24, whilst larger or more expensive items are sent with DPD. Most items will require a signature on delivery. In the event that no one is available, the parcel will be taken to your local depot and a note will be left with instructions for redelivery.

The door opens from the side and straight into the inner tent, with the porch sitting just to the left for food, drink, wet kit or at a push a small pet. The tunnel design of the tent also means it's more stable in high wind as the air can pass more freely over the top (it also means you get a better nights sleep). After a night of heavy rain and a bit of experimenting with a hose pipe I can confirm than the tent is pretty waterproof. Stability is okay, the tent moves with the wind rather than collapsing. More guylines could be added if necessary. The cost makes the Zephyros 1 Lite a great buy. Nothing else comes close to it for value for money. The footprint is well made and is very robust for its weight. The only niggle is the elastic loops have to be stretched tightly to fit correctly. This can be a little fiddly if youre in a rush to pitch. The Wild Country tent range is broken down into 3 series – Specialist, Classic and Core. In other respects the Zephyros 1 Lite is much like the Laser 1. There is room to sit up inside and store gear and cook undercover – though care is needed with the latter (a low profile stove is best). Short poles at each end lift the flysheet a little for better headroom when lying down and also aid stability. The inner tent has a half mesh door and mesh panels at each end for ventilation. There’s no vent on the flysheet though so if the door zip has to be fully closed moist air can’t escape. Separation between the inner and outer is good though so avoiding condensation on the flysheet isn’t difficult. The Wild Country Zephyros Compact 2 is a very snug 2 person tent. I am reluctant to use the term canvas coffin, but if you’re prone to claustrophobia then a tent with a higher canopy might be more worthy of your consideration. As a Cornish boy with a father from the coalfields of South Wales, I’m never happier than when crammed into a small dark space. Top to toe you should have ample room for sleeping, and head to head is perfectly feasible if you’re more familiar with your tent mate. If I wasn't too fussed about the weight and didn't mind the extra faff of getting the banshee nicely pegged out I would probably take the banshee.
