Part Two had a more dystopian feel to the stories and that isn’t really my thing, though I did like Cicadas of all the stories in this section. However, this compilation of short stories did not really do it for me sadly. The first story was absolutely fantastic, but then it just sort of fizzled out from there. If I am being honest I DNF this book because some of the stories I found to be anti climatic and confusing. The format on my Kindle was also a bit rough because it was hard to tell when one story ended and another began. My brain at once conjured up a picture of a married couple in their thirties. He earned the money, a lot of money, and you got to choose the bedlinen. Our brains are expert at formulating stereotypes. Now and then they’re wrong. Now and then they’re right.
