Oops, sorry, I completely forgot about the point of this review. Which is kind of my point. Heaven Official’s Blessing has a very languid and meandering pace. It feels very ‘slice-of-life’, and there are many chapters where you might feel like the story really isn’t progressing anywhere, in terms of the overarching plot. But I think that’s the beauty and vibe of this series. Which is not to say there isn’t anything happening, in fact there are lots of moving parts that are easy to miss in your first read. Which makes it very re-readable. Pero lo importante de esto es que hay risa y no funerales ja ja ja. Bueno, a pesar de que este fue uno de los mejores volúmenes que tiene TGCF, hay varias cosas que lo vuelven el más pesado. Empezando por el hecho de que hay muchísimos personajes a los cuales se les trata de dar un trasfondo en pocas páginas y eso solo los vuelve algo forzados o extraños, varios de ellos no son tan memorables como recordaba. Además hay varias subtramas dentro de la misma trama y muchas de ellas no llevan a nada, entre ellas están: el brocado inmortal, ling wen siendo igual de loca que todos los dioses (de ella quiero hablar luego), el mini Hua Cheng, Pei Ming siento un puto con pasado interesante (con cariño), varios personajes pasados regresando, Yin Yu y Quan Yizen conociendose, ¡la señora de la lluvia!, Qi Rong rompiendo las bolas y, obviamente, un cliffhanger tan jmpresionate que deja con la intriga. First off, I thought it would be so tragic if Jun Wu, the state preceptor of Xianle, and White No-Face are the same person. Second, I also think Jun Wu could possibly be the crown prince of Wuyong. Jun Wu has to be one of these people listed. Seeing how MXTX has revealed character identities makes me certain that we know him under a different name. Him being the crown prince of Wuyong makes the most sense to me at least because that crown prince went through very similar issues that Xie Lian went through. This would explain why Jun Wu felt so strongly about Xie Lian having no chance at saving his kingdom; it’s because he himself couldn’t save his own kingdom! Perhaps Jun Wu saw himself in Xie Lian and tried to direct him down the same path he went down. There was another part that was a little long-ish. I know Yin Yu and Quan Yizhen are a popular ship but I've never seen them in a romantic way. I guess their story needed to be told somewhere but honestly I was just waiting for all of them to reach Mt. Tonglu, that I was kind of impatient.
